I grew up in the lower mainland of Vancouver BC Canada. At a later age, 30 years old I went to college and then to university. I started my first degree at Douglas College and then completed a Bachelors degree in psychology (1993) from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby BC. Then I moved to sunny California to the San Francisco area and received a Masters degree in counselling psychology with an emphasis in marital, family and child counselling (1995)
I returned back to the lower mainland of Vancouver and began both employment in non-profit and community service agencies and opened my private practice “Delta Counselling”.
I believe that clients have the answers to their personal struggles within themselves and that the process of counselling, of hearing one self speak is the healing process. Over and over again in professional development courses I have taken we are taught the healing tool is the relationship between client and counsellor.
